Description

Small Army is seeking a passionate energetic and entrepreneurial individual to lead the media services department and help drive continued innovation and effectiveness to help brands build relationships with people. 

Reporting directly to the CEO, this person will be responsible for overseeing all media-related activity for clients, including:

  • Media planning and buying (traditional and digital)
  • Search engine marketing
  • Direct media services (direct mail list buying, email marketing, etc.)\
  • Social media delivery (paid and organic)
  • Reporting and analytics for all of the above

What You Need

The ideal candidate will have:

  • At least 10 years of experience helping clients identify the best ways to reach their audience across all media channels.
  • Especially strong skills in the area of digital media delivery, technology and reporting.
  • Believes strongly in the value of relationships and be committed to building them with their colleagues, clients and media partners.
  • Has strong presentation skills and the ability to communicate strategies, data and insights effectively.
  • Appreciates and leverages best practices, while also challenging the status quo to identity new ones.
  • Has a thirst for learning and a continued appreciation for new ideas.

designer supervisor

Description

Supervise and lead the graphic designing team in the development and execution of design concepts for all marketing channels; design, layout and production of print and digital advertising and marketing collateral, logos and brand identity systems, illustrations, videos and motion graphics, and other forms of visual communication; elevate the stylistic look of collateral to keep current with design trends; complete design and production projects as assigned, within required graphic guidelines so that all material is consistent by brand, product and / or market as directed; initiate, collaborate and participate in concepting and strategy sessions with the creative team and other cross-functional teams, including social media and account team; oversee clients' brand design standards within team; update brand design and coordinate updates with Creative Directors; manage department-wide framework for organizing, storage and maintenance of design assets ensuring information is accessible and available to all team members; assess and prioritize projects to ensure an efficient workflow; work with team to identify opportunities to streamline processes; recruit design interns, manage their process and workload, and evaluate their performance; analyze and plan the framework of design according to the laid out concept and established specifications of the project; delegate job responsibilities among junior team members and oversee that quality work is being completed within the deadline; engage with clients by presenting concepts and designs, and discussing feedback and revisions; perform any other responsibility or tasks deemed necessary by Creative Directors.

What You Need

Bachelor's degree in graphic design or arts, or a related field, or academic equivalent (including foreign academic equivalent), plus two years of experience in the job offered.

What You Need

 

  • Contribute to the concept development, design and execution of promotional materials
  • Can go beyond just design; can think conceptually and can brainstorm ideas within a larger team 
  • Have a broad understanding of typography, photography and design in theory and practice
  • Possess the ability to create brand-appropriate design across multiple touch points
  • Demonstrate versatility in pairing design direction with communication in a cohesive form
  • Possess advanced knowledge of Indesign, Photoshop & Illustrator as it relates to design and the technical production of work intended for print
