Small Army is looking for a Director of Relationship Management to further strengthen and build the Account Management function of the agency. Overseeing a team of talented Relationship Managers, this individual will be responsible for keeping clients happy and always coming back for more through top-notch customer service, seamless project management, great communication and, most importantly, making it all fun.  

The candidate must thrive in fast-paced creative environments, work well with people of all shapes and sizes, be confident with crazy ideas, and relish in the success of those around them. We would expect this candidate to have at least 10 years of agency experience, working with clients and projects of all types (print, digital, broadcast, direct, programmatic, etc.). Most importantly, this person must have a passion for building relationships, be a fan of great stories, and be a master of organizing chaos.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • This individual will work with the team of relationship managers to:
  • Lead all client project management activities at the agency.
  • Work directly with agency clients to understand their business, needs and concerns - and represent them within the agency to guide the internal teams to success.
  • Manage client budgets, and ensure proper allocation of resources across individual projects and entire relationships.
  • Actively improve agency processes and standards as it relates to client and project management.
  • Mentor and develop all members of the relationship team, to help them continually learn and grow at the agency.  
  • Partner with all departments of the agency (e.g. Creative, Media, Production, Planning, and Operations) to identify client opportunities, generate new ideas improve agency-wide processes, culture and integration.
  • Assist with strategic planning for all clients.  
  • Contribute to the positive, collaborative, and respectful culture at the agency.

What You Need

  • Minimum 10 years of experience working in account/project management in a creative agency environment. Experience in high-tech and B2B is preferred.
  • Thrives in a collaborative environment and is passionate about doing something big and helping teams bring creative ideas to life.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills. Must be able to  juggle multiple clients, projects, and personalities.
  • Flawless project management skills, including delegation, time management, prioritization, and scope management.

Join our creative-driven agency in the heart of Boston. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of agency experience and a book that fills us with envy and self-loathing. Description

We are looking for interns who want to gain experience in the world of advertising by working with the team at Small Army.  Along with basic administrative tasks, working side-by-side with the Digital team on client projects will provide invaluable insight into the many layers of a successful agency.

This individual will primarily support the Digital Production team in the creation and maintenance of interactive web sites and management of online media production.

Candidates must possess a can-do attitude and be proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook.  A strong understanding of social media tools (Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat, YouTube, WordPress/Tumblr) is necessary for the intern position.  These positions are perfect for college students or recent graduates interested in exploring the world of advertising.  Please note, this is an unpaid internship. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

Position responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Quality Assurance testing for websites and online advertising
  • Management of copywriting, content curation and proofreading
  • Assisting with asset management (organizing digital files, populating metadata, etc.)
  • Creating sitemaps and organizing content
  • Gather, review, repurpose and traffic assets to other team members

What You Need

SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Strong initiative and communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Detail-oriented and able to handle multiple tasks at once
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines for daily deliverables
  • Familiarity with WordPress, Drupal, or other content management systems encouraged but not required (but willing to learn)

BASIC REQUIREMENTS

  • Pursuing a degree in college or university
