Small Army is seeking a passionate energetic and entrepreneurial individual to lead the media services department and help drive continued innovation and effectiveness to help brands build relationships with people. 

Reporting directly to the CEO, this person will be responsible for overseeing all media-related activity for clients, including:

  • Media planning and buying (traditional and digital)
  • Search engine marketing
  • Direct media services (direct mail list buying, email marketing, etc.)\
  • Social media delivery (paid and organic)
  • Reporting and analytics for all of the above

What You Need

The ideal candidate will have:

  • At least 10 years of experience helping clients identify the best ways to reach their audience across all media channels.
  • Especially strong skills in the area of digital media delivery, technology and reporting.

Description

Small Army is seeking an Associate Digital Media Director to leads its digital media strategy, planning and buying efforts. This individual must be passionate about digital media and hungry to maximize its potential for clients and the agency - not only leveraging existing channels/approaches, but actively exporting new and evolving digital opportunities.

This individual must be a collaborative, self-starter who is excited about leveraging their digital experience, while also continuing to learn, educate others and manage impactful media programs. The successful candidate will also possess the ability to effectively juggle multiple priorities while managing client expectations, timelines and coordination between various resources

Responsibilities:

 Leads digital media strategy, planning, buying, reconciliation, reporting and optimization.

 Delivers timely, insightful and accurate media campaign reports

 Develops and mentors team members including training, oversight and workload management

Creates a positive team culture alongside the Director by helping to develop, motivate and manage the team


 Builds and maintains successful key client and vendor relationships (agency liaison)

 Keeps group up to date on current and emerging online media trends, technologies, and processes

 Drives collaboration and communication across both the team and agency as a whole

 Supports Media Director in forming overall media strategy based on client goals/objectives (especially digital component) and collaborates on budget allocations

What You Need

Skills:

 Ability to develop and present well-constructed and thoughtful digital media strategies and plans to clients to clearly demonstrate thinking, recommendations and associated rationale.

 Expertise in managing and implementing campaigns across all digital media channels, including programmatic, direct-to-publisher, social media, video, native, SEM, etc.

 Familiarity and appreciation of non-digital/traditional media channels

 Ability to review and analyze campaign/media metrics, and craft reports that make sense of the data and provide clear recommendation for associated solutions.

 Skilled at building strong client relationships and instilling trust and authority on behalf of the agency

 Ability to manage and mentor junior staff to help them progress in their careers

 Superior organizational, interpersonal and managerial skills with attention to detail

 Problem-solver, with ability to move quickly between tasks, and think clearly under pressure

 Can collaborate and work effectively in an integrated agency environment

 Ability to manage timelines, projects and personnel alongside or on behalf of Director

Qualifications:

Description

Small Army is looking for a rock star Integrated Project Manager with at least 3-5 years of agency experience to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Facilitates communication between departments to ensure all parties are aligned.
  • Establish staffing requirements, timelines, and budgets for interactive engagements, ensuring quality and efficiency of project execution.
  • Collaborate with team leaders to ensure group is meeting deadlines and budget expectations.
  • Ensure that the team members have the information they need to be successful in their work
  • Monitor project budget, hours, and cost actualization.
  • Mitigate risk by anticipating potential executional barriers, identifying quality, budget, and timeline impacts, and developing possible solutions with appropriate input and collaboration.
  • Communicate project updates to team.
  • Contribute to new business efforts.
  • Collaborate closely with development team in developing project plans, including accurate budgets and project schedules.
  • Support the agency with idea on process refinement/improvement.

What You Need

Qualifications:

  • Minimum three years of production experience at an agency, with a strong concentration in digital.
  • Outstanding knowledge of project management principles, processes and software in multiple disciplines, i.e. websites, print, display, ooh, etc. with an emphasis in digital work.
  • A solid understanding of the full life-cycle of web/application initiatives.
  • Experience in mentoring and/or managing junior team members.
  • Experience in working with outside vendors and partners to produce high quality work within budget.
  • Prior experience in a mentor or management type role.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Technical Skills and/or Proficiency:

  • Strong experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
